A chauffeur booking is easier to plan when you know whether the car is needed for a few scheduled stops or for most of the day. In Dubai, an airport transfer, a five-hour meeting itinerary and a full-day visit have different waiting and routing needs. The right arrangement depends on the actual schedule, not only the distance travelled.

When does an hourly chauffeur make sense?
Choose hourly service when you need the vehicle and chauffeur to remain available between several nearby appointments. It can suit a morning of meetings in Business Bay and DIFC, hotel visits, or a flexible shopping itinerary. ECS Dubai’s hourly bookings start from a five-hour minimum; ask the team to confirm the period, start time and any additional-hour rate in your quotation.
Send each planned stop, approximate waiting time and the final drop-off. A list such as “hotel pickup, two meetings, lunch, airport” helps the reservation team quote the journey more accurately than “car for a few hours.” If your plans may run late, mention that before confirmation and ask how an extension would be handled.
When should you request full-day service?
Full-day service is useful when the passenger needs a vehicle across a longer working day or an itinerary with substantial gaps between stops. An executive roadshow, property viewings or a day of family activities may be easier to coordinate under one agreed service period. “Full day” does not automatically mean unlimited hours or mileage: confirm the included duration, operating area, overtime, parking and any applicable travel costs before booking.
For journeys that leave Dubai, share the complete route and return time. A trip to Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah can require a different quotation from a day of local Dubai stops. For cross-border travel, allow time for entry requirements and obtain a route-specific quote rather than assuming local hourly terms apply.
Compare the entire itinerary, not just an hourly figure
Give the reservation team your pickup and drop-off addresses, date, desired pickup time, passenger count, luggage and stop sequence. State whether you need the chauffeur to wait at every stop. Compare quotations using the included hours, extra-hour charge, tolls, parking, waiting terms and the conditions for a route change. A low starting rate may not be the best fit if the day will run longer than planned.
If the journey is simply one pickup and one drop-off, request a direct transfer quotation as well. It may be more appropriate than reserving a vehicle for several hours. If the itinerary remains uncertain, describe the likely stops and ask for both an hourly chauffeur and a full-day chauffeur option so you can compare their confirmed terms.
Choose a vehicle for passengers and luggage
Do not select a vehicle category on passenger count alone. Tell the team how many large suitcases, cabin bags, strollers or presentation cases will travel with the group. An executive sedan may suit a small business party, while a Mercedes V-Class category may be worth considering for additional passengers or luggage. Availability, exact seating and luggage space must be verified for the assigned vehicle.
For an airport arrival followed by meetings, provide the flight number and arrival terminal too. Build in a realistic margin for immigration and baggage collection. If a second passenger joins later, include that pickup in the itinerary rather than waiting until the day of travel.
A simple checklist before you confirm
- Share the date, pickup time and every planned address or stop.
- State the number of passengers and describe their luggage.
- Ask which hours and route are included in the quoted amount.
- Check extra hours, waiting, tolls, parking and cancellation terms.
- Confirm the vehicle category and any child-seat or accessibility request.
Once these details are clear, send your itinerary through the ECS Dubai booking form. The reservation team will review availability and send a quotation for the service period and route you actually need. The request itself is not a confirmed booking until the final details are agreed.
